A dressage focus…
A fun, interactive clinic breaking down the equine gaits to gain a greater level of insight and understanding into the biomechanics of each gait
– Train your eye to recognise what is normal and abnormal
– How conformation, posture and lameness affect the horse
– How to break down the gait and then put the puzzle pieces/patterns presenting together to get a whole picture of the horses biomechanics and any unsoundness
– How to recognise common lameness issues
This clinic is a combination of presentations and practical aspects that encourages engagement, group interactions and input.
Expected outcomes
– The first day will encompass assessing conformation and posture and identification of bony landmarks with interactive sessions of observing and feeling (in your own body!) horse movement along with a methodical approach to biomechanical observations of the horse
– The second day will focus on the thoracic sling and the ability for self carriage, assessing motion in different gaits and dressage movements in-hand.
